Student Records Request-General Information
Washoe County School District (WCSD) Student Accounting Department is responsible for the archiving of student permanent records of former and alumni WCSD students. WCSD is now offering a convenient and secure website for current students, former students, K-12 Districts, attorneys, and corporations to request transcripts, student records, immunizations, and graduation verifications online.
Per District policy and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) student records are only available to those who have authorization from the student or parent, guardian, or responsible person if the student is under 18 years of age. If the student is 18 years of age or older, school records will not be released to a parent, guardian, or responsible person without the student’s written consent.

School of Choice
School of Choice is a system where Washoe County School District (WCSD) families can choose which school they want their children to attend. This process was formerly known as the variance process. WCSD has streamlined this process for our families, making it more accessible. The District will offer two windows, one in the fall and one in the spring, when families can apply to a school other than their student’s zoned school. We believe students will be the most successful in the school where they feel connected and seen and with an academic program that best suits their needs. Online Registration must be completed in order to be considered for a School of Choice placement. Please see below for a list of frequently asked questions.
