SUPPLEMENTAL ELECTIVE MILITARY SCIENCE COURSES 

JROTC Special Teams Course #5472-5473 

Full year = 1 credit 

The JROTC Special Teams course is an elective designed for motivated high school cadets who wish to specialize in advanced team-oriented disciplines within the JROTC program. This course focuses on building technical expertise, teamwork, discipline, and leadership skills through participation in JROTC special teams. In addition to team-specific skills, the course emphasizes leadership development, personal accountability, and fostering camaraderie through collaborative problem-solving and event preparation. Cadets will have opportunities to represent their school and program in local, regional, and national competitions, enhancing their sense of pride and commitment. 


JROTC Staff (H) Course #5451-5452 

Full year = 1 credit (Honors) 

Students in current leadership positions within JROTC and approved for this class will be provided the opportunity 

to work directly with their teachers and assist with special projects within the unit supporting the school and community. They will also assist with the planning and coordination of extracurricular activities to include community service, unit service, drill meets, parades, and academic competitions.
